IBRAHIM DELIBALTA, Ph.D., is a senior director of SoC design at Intel and an instructor. He began his career at Intel in 1995 and went on to work at Silicon Graphics and Cisco Systems in the Bay Area and several companies overseas. In 2016, he returned to Intel. With extensive experience and expertise in chip design, he has contributed in various domains as an individual contributor, technical lead, and in a number of managerial roles. Delibalta received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Boğaziçi (Bosphorus) University in Istanbul in 1993; a master’s degree also in EE from the University of Southern California in 1995; and a doctorate in Design, Technology and Society, an interdisciplinary program, from Koç University, Istanbul in 2018. He taught a graduate-level SoC design course at SJSU in 2020 and 2021 and has co-authored seven journal articles and 20 conference papers. He holds a U.S. patent and four overseas patents.
