SAM HUYNH, MSEE, Ph.D., is a principal member of the technical staff and a senior manager at AMD. He has over 22 years of experience in the field of VLSI design including memory, IO, physical design implementation, and full chip integration. He has three patents and 10 publications. He earned a bachelor's and master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on VLSI, and a doctorate in VLSI Mixed Signal Design and Test —all at the University of Washington. He is a former chair of the VLSI Engineering certificate program and currently serving as chair of the Embedded Systems certificate program since 2020.
