About

ANJALI MISRA is a career coach and lecturer at California State University, Monterey Bay, where she brings more than 10 years of experience in teaching, research and academic service to her work with students.

She served as an NIH IRACDA Fellow at UC Santa Cruz and as a hemp program coordinator at Allan Hancock College, where she managed grower requests for diagnostic testing and field trials while engaging undergraduate students in hands-on research. She has also taught as a lecturer at Florida SouthWestern State College.

Misra holds postdoctoral training from the University of Florida, where she conducted research in citrus physiology, analyzing citrus plants infected with citrus greening bacteria using conventional and real-time polymerase chain reaction techniques. She collaborated with fellow researchers on grant proposals and contributed to multidisciplinary laboratory projects.

She is committed to mentoring students from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate barriers and build pathways to meaningful careers. Her approach centers on experiential learning, guiding students as they transition from the classroom into the workforce. Her work reflects a dedication to leaving a lasting impact on every student she encounters — supporting them not only in reaching their academic goals, but in finding their footing in life beyond the classroom.
