About

SAMUEL TING, MFA, is a visual designer, artist, illustrator, and database administrator, who has been working as a website and web application designer for Silicon Valley’s top high-tech firms for more than 20 years. He is currently working as the visual design lead in IBM’s Cloud and AI product group and previously held leadership positions at Microsoft and Oracle. Other design positions include art director at iMotors.com and multimedia designer at Bechtel where he started his career in new media design. He holds a master’s degree in Advertising Design and Multimedia.

This class meets simultaneously in a classroom and remotely via Zoom. Students are expected to attend and participate in the course, either in-person or remotely, during the days and times that are specified on the course schedule. Students attending remotely are also strongly encouraged to have their cameras on to get the most out of the remote learning experience. Students attending the class in-person are expected to bring a laptop to each class meeting.
