JOHANNA VILLANUEVA, M.Ed., is an educational therapist with more than 15 years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs. She specializes in educational assessment and has extensive experience providing learning evaluations, recommendations, and advocacy support for families. She has represented families in school-based IEP meetings and collaborates closely with interdisciplinary professionals, including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to support integrated student services.
In addition to her clinical and advocacy work, Villanueva provides curriculum development, training, and consultation for teachers, parents, allied professionals, and educational organizations. Villanueva holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Sociology from UC Davis, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education, and a Certificate in Educational Therapy from Holy Names University. She is a professional member of the National Association of Educational Therapists and regularly participates in professional development focused on learning differences and evidence-based intervention strategies.
