Abbie Richer

ABBIE RICHER, M.A., is a pre-health advisor with the UC Santa Cruz Premed Postbacc Program. Prior to joining the Postbacc Program she was an academic advisor at California State University Monterey Bay where she worked with students majoring in biology and minoring in biology and chemistry. Other work experiences include working as a counselor at Cerro Coso Community College in Ridgecrest, CA; an academic advisor at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis; and in undergraduate admissions at Christopher Newport University in Virginia and Concordia University-Saint Paul in Minnesota. Abbie feels privileged and a deep sense of responsibility to support students pursuing their passion for service through medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University and has a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Educational Policy and Administration, with an emphasis in Higher Education.
