Course Description

Welcome to our immersive Education Innovation workshop series. Join master educators to explore the most current, evidence-based best-practices to keep your knowledge and skills up to date and to strengthen your ability to support every student. Each session is led by an expert in the field with real world experience, who will guide you through the material and help you apply it immediately to your work.

Mastering mathematics is a complex process that requires integrating knowledge of math facts, fluent and accurate application of procedures, and a robust conceptual understanding. It also demands strong executive functioning (EF). When students struggle with EF, there tend to be more "silly" mistakes on math tests, struggles to understand and implement procedural knowledge, and challenges in transitioning from arithmetic to more developed conceptual math learning. Join a board-certified educational therapist to explore the interplay of all these components, how to accurately assess them to design an effective educational plan, and how to integrate games to keep things fun—and keep your students engaged without compromising rigor.
