Course Description
Welcome to our immersive AI technology workshop series. During these sessions you will be introduced to new and established AI tools that will help you create and manipulate content in new and powerful ways. Each session is led by an industry expert who will guide you through the material and share its real-world implications
Vibe Coding uses AI coding agents such as Cursor, OpenAI Codex, and Claude Code to design and develop applications. Instead of writing code line by line, Vibe coders describe what they want an application to do, and the AI coding agent generates the code. The agent can also run and explain the code, create and execute tests, identify and fix bugs, and add or modify features based on additional instructions.
In this workshop, students will learn how to use an AI coding agent to develop an application from the ground up. They will learn how to set up a software project, use Git to manage code, and use AI coding agents to run, test, debug, and enhance their applications.
Learning Outcomes At the conclusion of the workshop, you should be able to
- Identify key features and capabilities of AI coding agents.
- Explain how AI coding agents generate, test, debug, and enhance applications.
- Demonstrate AI-assisted application development using coding agents, Git, testing, and debugging.
Topics Include
- How tools like Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code turn plain-language descriptions into code
- Creating a new project and using Git to track and manage changes
- Prompting a coding agent to design and generate a working application
- Using the agent to run tests, fix bugs, and add features
- Live-Online Attend via Zoom at scheduled times.
