SANDRA E. CLIFTON, Ed.D., is the founder of Clifton Corner, a private practice helping students with ADHD, dyslexia, and learning differences build confidence through expert intervention and positive psychology. Prior to founding Clifton Corner, she served as a high school English teacher for over a decade and later joined the RULER Team at the Center for Emotional Intelligence at Yale University. Clifton shares a special affinity with athletes and artists who shine with strengths outside of school but may encounter challenges with time management, confidence, learning differences, or academic anxiety in the classroom, often identified as gifted, highly sensitive, or twice-exceptional students. She earned her doctorate in Cognitive Diversity in Education, with a dissertation titled "Sensitive Students: Exploring Another Aspect of Twice-Exceptionality," focused on 2e and highly sensitive person (HSP) students.
