POONAM NARULA, Ph.D., is a chemistry lecturer, an entrepreneur, and the founding chief executive of BountiFoods, a plant-based foods startup addressing the growing demand for sustainable and healthy food alternatives. For more than 20 years, she has worked to bring science from the lab to market—across analytical instrumentation, life sciences, and sensing technologies. She's launched products, governed $350M+ portfolios, and led VP-level strategy at Thermo Fisher, Nalco, and Sensata. She earned a doctorate in Chemistry from Wake Forest University and has postdoctoral experience at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
