MINHAZ ABEDIN, Ph.D., is a Master Inventor at IBM Research, currently working as a System Technology Co-Optimization Engineer for AI hardware. He specializes in semiconductor devices and system research and has served as a technology architect defining the manufacturing-focused gate-all-around nanosheet technology (2nm node) blueprint. Abedin completed his Ph.D. in Nanoscale Engineering from the College of Nanotechnology, Science and Engineering (CNSE) at the University at Albany (previously under SUNY Polytechnic Institute), and earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh. He holds 11 published patents and has published in Nature, IEEE, RSC (Royal Society of Chemistry), and Wiley journals, along with 15+ conference publications. Abedin has served as a reviewer for IEEE IEDM, DAC, VLSI, ICCAD, and other top-tier conferences, and currently reviews for IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology. He is an active volunteer with the IEEE Electron Device Society (EDS) and Electronics Packaging Society (EPS).
