About

JON INNES is a consultant with over 20 years of experience leading UX design and front-end related development efforts at companies such as Intuit, Autodesk, SAP, Oracle, and Cisco, as well as numerous startups. He has lived through the evolution of today’s responsive design and scalable design systems, including doing hands on work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and design tokens to bridge the gap between designs in tools like Figma and development. He has a master's degree in Engineering (Applied Cognitive) Psychology from New Mexico State University and has spoken at UXPA, ACM CHI, and Agile conferences, sharing insights on product design strategy and improving cross-functional collaboration between design, product, and engineering teams.

This class meets simultaneously in a classroom and remotely via Zoom. Students are expected to attend and participate in the course, either in-person or remotely, during the days and times that are specified on the course schedule. Students attending remotely are also strongly encouraged to have their cameras on to get the most out of the remote learning experience. Students attending the class in-person are expected to bring a laptop to each class meeting.
