DAVID WEST, D.H.Sc., M.P.H., senior director of medical writing at Gilead Sciences, has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry experience, including positions at Genentech and Pfizer. His expertise includes nonclinical and clinical drug development and writing technical, scientific, medical, and regulatory documents. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, and a Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University. West also has significant teaching experience at the college level, both online and in the classroom.
