DANESH FOROUHARI, M.S., has more than 20 years of experience in the software development industry. He has worked as a senior software engineering manager of infrastructure at Khan Academy, a software reliability manager at Luminar Technologies, and a UNIX kernel engineer and leading software development as a director in both startup and well-established companies. He’s worked in leadership positions at Adchemy, VMware, Skyfire, Intuit, Vector Launch, and Yahoo! In addition to teaching computer science courses at UCSC Extension, he teaches at Holy Names College and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. During his free time, Forouhari designs and publishes math and word problems and tinkers with Raspberry Pi programming.
