At the conclusion of the workshop, students will be able to

  • Evaluate formal assessments with a focus on looking for patterns in the data to develop a complete and nuanced understanding of their students' unique learning profiles.
  • Apply best practices in giving and interpreting informal assessments and synthesize the data with formal testing to build an individualized educational program to best support their students.
  • Integrate on-going formative assessments and observational data to continuously respond to student progress and challenges to optimize student growth throughout the learning cycle.
