Supply chain management is an evolving industry that requires strong soft skills such as collaboration as well as technological skills for cost analysis, price negotiation, effective procurement strategies, and best practices for sustainable procurement. While many of the more physical, entry-level jobs are going to be automated, the people who have pursued SCM certification will be best able to compete in the job market. SCM professionals, which also include logistics managers, transportation managers, purchasing managers, purchasing agents, and logistics analysts, will need to understand the emerging strategies to affect profitability and sustainability.
Students are welcome to sign up for UC-branded, accredited courses individually. The more comprehensive certification program designed and taught by working professionals in the SCM field provides a much-needed edge to people seeking to advance quickly in their company.
