Program Description

Online

Stay up to date with your training. UCSC Extension offers two online courses for clearing the preliminary credential required for SB 2042 Multiple Subject and Single Subject. Both courses— Technology in Schools, Introduction (SB 2042 Standard 11); and Becoming a Professional Educator: Special Populations and Healthy Environments—comply with California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) standards.

Curriculum: 2–5 units each

Time Commitment: 4–8 weeks each

California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Our courses meet CCTC standards, but please confirm with the administrator of your credential program that the course you intend to take is acceptable.

You are invited to declare candidacy in your certificate program as soon as possible so you can lock in the curriculum requirements and not be impacted by any subsequent program changes. Once you’ve declared, you have three years to complete the program.
