SARAH HARMON, Ph.D., is an adjunct professor of Spanish and Linguistics at several community colleges in the area. She has taught Spanish and lower-division linguistics courses at the collegiate level since 1999, both at major universities and community colleges. Her academic pursuits include historical Romance linguistics, theories of language change, foreign language pedagogy, incorporating technology in the foreign language classroom, learning outcomes and assessments, and language proficiency. She is also a member of the Modern Languages Association and of the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages. In the UCSC Extension TESOL certificate program, she teaches Language Structures. She has also taught Culture and Cultural Diversity.
