MOENES ISKAROUS, Ph.D., is a fellow and a member of the founding team at SiMa.ai™, a startup focused on disruptive computing that enables high performance machine learning to go green. He drives technical innovation in embedded edge intelligence applied to autonomous systems, computer vision, and robotics. Previously, he was at Intel for more than 21 years working on a multitude of projects—from research, architecture modeling, and validation, to performance analysis, and software development. Iskarous has been an adjunct professor teaching different graduate level courses including Embedded and Real-time Systems, Systems Software and Special Research Topics. He earned his doctorate in neural networks and applications in intelligent robotics. He has published over 25 technical papers, holds five patents and has several more pending approval. He is also a member of Industrial Advisory Board and serves as an AI advisory board member at different academic institutions, including UCSC Silicon Valley Extension since 2020.
