MAITJIAN WELKE is co-owner of CMIT Solutions Silicon Valley, an IT managed service provider specializing in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT consulting and CIO/CISO services. She is passionate about helping small- and medium-size businesses with their technology and cybersecurity needs in the supply chain and in competing for contracts. With more than 20 years of IT and software engineering experience, she’s worked with Fortune 500 corporations including IBM, Sun Microsystems, Cisco, American Express, NCR and Good Technology. She founded CMIT Solutions in 2009. Welke is chief information officer for the Industry Council for Small Business Development Board of Directors and has served on the board since 2014. She is an active VAR channel partner for Fortune 500 computer manufacturers and has been recognized in the Women of the Channel by CRN Magazine six years in a row for leadership and commitment. She’s also served on cybersecurity panels for industry summits and expos and provided cybersecurity webinars in recent years. She has a degree in Computer Science and published an article on email security in CIO Story Magazine (2015).
