DAVID SWANSON, M.A., SHRM-SCP, is a human resource management consultant, author and keynote speaker with more than 30 years’ experience. Most recently he was executive vice president of HR for SAP SuccessFactors, following previous posts as chief HRO for SAP North America and global head of HR for its products and innovation organization. He has held executive HR positions at a number of other technology companies as well. Swanson, president of the Bay Area Human Resources Executive Council (BAHREC), speaks widely on the future of HR, focusing on how the industry can impact business through analytics and big data. He is active with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA), has served on the innovation advisory board of the HULT International Business School. He just published The Data Driven Leader: A Powerful Approach to Delivering Measurable Business Impact Through People Analytics. He has served as program co-chair or chair since 2018.
