Requirements to Teach/How to Apply to Teach

TEACHING FOR EXTENSION AND HOW TO APPLY

University of California Extension, Santa Cruz, relies on its instructors for its success; hundreds of women and men from many areas of professional and business life teach classes that help our students advance in their careers, find new careers or explore creative pursuits and personal satisfaction.

Our students form a diverse and active group, with high expectations. We need instructors who match this diversity and commitment, people with a unique combination of practical experience and academic preparation, and with backgrounds that reflect the cultural makeup of our student body.

You can help University Extension keep growing to meet the needs of our area-Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties.

For all instructors an advanced degree in the field is preferred; five or more years of experience in the subject taught and good communication skills are essential.
