Human Resources Management

New Challenges and Accountability for HR Professionals
Much has changed in the human resources profession over the past decade and more of the same is ahead. Today, Human Resources is expected to solve problems by:

  • Hiring, motivating and retaining the people and skills needed
  • Developing leaders who can deliver results in new work environments
  • Creating environments people want to be and grow in
  • Developing global systems and processes that support business objectives
  • Providing managers the tools they need to manage.

Diverse HR Career Opportunities Within Silicon Valley
The scope and diversity of HR challenges demand specialist skills, generalist skills, and, increasingly, global perspectives—which translates to:

  • More jobs, but not necessarily in traditional roles
  • Higher paying jobs requiring more knowledge and technical expertise
  • With the right training, HR opens myriad career options.

In-Depth Training for All Levels of Expertise
We offer courses geared to all levels in the profession, including extensive Strategic HR content for executive management. Our students receive in-depth instruction across the full spectrum of HR disciplines, delivered by the South Bay's leading HR practitioners. They provide comprehensive visibility into their areas of expertise.

Applicable to All SHRM and California Certifications and for Recertification
All our courses are 100% HRCI Reviewed and Approved. They fulfill all SHRM certification requirements and qualify for either general or strategic recertification credit.

UC-Quality Instruction from Highly Experienced Practitioners
Our faculty is 100 percent composed of HR industry veterans who teach from their decades of experience. Every course and instructor in our program is reviewed and vetted by the Chair of the UCSC Department of Economics to meet University of California quality standards. The coursework is comprehensive and the classroom experience is highly interactive.
