CPA Accounting preparation at UCSC Extension Silicon Valley addresses these issues and offers current and aspiring accountants and finance managers the background to become and remain successful in this dynamic field.
Building on the foundation courses from the Accounting Certificate, this program provides an advanced course of study that will deliver the body of knowledge needed to prepare for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. The program also provides courses in specialized areas of accounting, such as attestation and cost accounting.

You can complete 100 percent of your CPA education requirements through our Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management, and Marketing curricula. Our Accounting and Business Administration courses also qualify for CPA Continuing Education credit (CEU).
Our Accounting CPA Preparation provides an excellent foundation for aspiring CFOs, M.B.A.s, business owners, corporate managers, technical professionals, bookkeepers who want to move up, accounting assistants, and anyone wanting to understand modern accounting. There are no specific prerequisites for entering this program.
This program consists of 11 accounting courses (44 quarter units) and 16 general business courses (38 quarter units). The minimum requirements for taking the CPA exam in California are a bachelor's degree and 36 quarter units of accounting and 36 quarter units of general business courses. Candidates must complete all educational requirements prior to sitting for the exam.
