Rebecca Lee Lovin, Ed.D. in international and multicultural education, delivers teacher training in English as a Second Language. Her focus has been on cross cultural differences in the classroom, including nonverbal behaviors and teacher/student perception. Dr. Lovin has been a high school teacher in San Jose for 15 years, teaching SDAIE social studies courses. She also worked for the Metropolitan Adult Education Program for 8 years, teaching ESL to adults. In addition to teaching, she was a Fulbright Scholar in South Korea and has trained teachers in Egypt and at national conferences such as NABE and TESOL. Dr. Lovin has taught at UCSC Extension since 1995, playing a vital role in the TESL/TEFL Certificate Programs.
