Workforce Investment Board Process
1. Choose a UCSC Extension certificate program that qualifies for WIB, EDD or TAA funding. (Be sure to contact the appropriate department staff for any questions about this certificate program.) For general questions, call (408) 861-3700.
2. Shop the local agencies listed below for available funding applicable to your training plan. Meet with a Case Manager and obtain approval for a UCSC Extension training program.
While you are waiting for your payment voucher to be prepared...
3. Meet with the UCSC Extension Department Contact person in charge of your selected certificate program to set up your Program Schedule & Initial Enrollment.
4. Take your Program Schedule & Initial Enrollment forms to your Case Manager for approval and submission to Student Services with your approved payment voucher.
5. Enroll in classes at the beginning of each season's catalog release by submitting an Enrollment form to Student Services. Be sure to enroll early to secure your space and qualify for the Early Enrollment Discount price.
6. Any class substitutions or changes to your originally approved Program Schedule must be received by Student Services in writing at least seven calendar days before the start date of the class you are enrolled in and must be approved by UCSC Extension Department Staff as well as by your Case Manager.
