Learn about the increasing industry demand for trained project and program managers and how the Project and Program Management Certificate program at UCSC Extension can help prepare you for entry to or career advancement in this field. You'll get an introduction to the program's practical content through a mini seminar on the top 10 challenges faced by project managers today. There will be a presentation covering program content, certificate requirements, the registration process, and student support services followed by an informal Q&A session to address your specific needs.

FRANK MANGINI, M.S.E.E., M.B.A., PMP®, PMI®-ACP, CSP, has over 25 years of experience in project management and product development and served as the director of programs for the ARGOSystems/ Boeing Electronic Defense Systems. His special interests are project risk management, critical chain project management (CCPM) and Agile-Lean development projects. In addition to serving as program chair, he teaches: "Extreme/Agile Project Management," "Project Integration and Risk Management," and "Applied Project Management."

CARL RAND, M.B.A., PMP®, Extension instructor, has extensive experience in technology project management, business continuity planning, systems engineering, and process improvement. His areas of expertise include project planning and control, risk assessment and mitigation, management consultation, mentoring, training and curriculum development.
